| Chris Simonite is a budding young cartoonist who really isn't all that young. He recently took a 15 year hiatus from cartooning to construct the box he lives in on the corner of Portage & Main in Winnipeg. As he approaches 40 he’s decided to give cartooning another shot, despite the shrinking market and the shrinking brain that inevitably comes with age. To enrich his career possibilities he is slowly pursuing a BFA, which will help him find a job doing exactly what he’s doing now. Currently he’s slaving away as a graphic artist but hopes to make a few bucks off his cartoons, so he can finally insulate the aforementioned box.
His cartoons have been appearing regularly in the University of Manitoba
student newspaper, the Manitoban, and frequently in the University of
Regina paper, the Carillon. The Canadian University Press wire service
distributes virtually all of his cartoons across the country. |
