| Born in 1953 and raised in Wiarton Ontario, Larry Isbester worked for the Ministry of Natural Resources as a contract fisheries biologist after schooling in Guelph . The nomadic lifestyle of a government contractor ultimately lead to career change and Larry returned to his hometown set down roots. He married Linda, the farmer daughter and “sired” a pair of fine kids, Robert and Sarah, shortly after. Larry began cartooning professionally in the early 80’s after leaving the MNR and was picked up by the local paper The Wiarton Echo providing editorial cartoons weekly for it and the area’s newspaper syndicate. Larry has been recognized by the Ontario Weekly Newspaper Association and has been published by the Globe and Mail. He is still cartooning in Wiarton after more than twenty five years, specializing in all things political. |
