ACEC -- Gable

Born in 1949 in Saskatoon, BRIAN GABLE studied fine arts at the University of Saskatchewan. Graduating with a B.Ed. from the University of Toronto in 1971, he taught art in Brockville and began freelancing for the Brockville Recorder and Times in 1977. In 1980 he started full-time with the Regina Leader-Post and is presently the editorial cartoonist for The Globe and Mail. He has won National Newspaper Awards in 1986, 1995, 2001 and 2005.
