| Born in Montreal in 1949, Susan Dewar attended high school in Toronto, went to the University of Western Ontario in London, and graduated from Toronto Teachers' College. After working in commercial art in Toronto, she freelanced for Canadian Forum, Teen Generation, Current and The Toronto Sun. She joined The Calgary Sun as full-time editorial cartoonist in 1984 and won the 1987 National Business Writing Award for political cartooning. In October 1988 she became the editorial cartoonist of The Ottawa Sun. She is the mother of James Geoffrey. |
