Born in Rostov, Russia, 1961, Oleg Dergachov graduated from the Ukrainian Print
Academy. He has won three Grand Prix awards and over 66 international awards from
cartoon competitions prizes in Belgium, Italy, Poland, Australia, Japan, Canada, Slovak
and Czech republics, Russia, Ukraine, China, Portugal, Turkey, Germany, and France..
He is the member of international editorial board of IJOCA magazine, USA. He has had
20 personal cartoon exhibitions in 13 countries, and his work hangs in numerous state
galleries around the world.
Oleg was a member of international Juries of cartoon contests in Europe and Asia ten
times. His cartoons have been published in Nebelspalter magazine, Switzerland, Itogi,
Moscow, Courrier International, France and many others all around the world.
He established the one-of-a-kind Monument dedicated to Smile in Lviv , Ukraine.
He moved to Canada with his family in 2005, and lives and works in Montreal.
