| Josh Beutel was born in Montreal in 1945. Following Fine Arts and Education degrees, he taught Art in Ontario and Labrador high schools. Mr. Beutel began cartooning in 1972. After moving to his wife's home province in 1976, he became the editorial cartoonist at "The New Brunswick Telegraph Journal" where he worked for 19 of the next 24 years. Mr. Beutel has syndicated editorial cartoons, been widely-published, and has participated in a variety of international cartoon festivals. He has produced five books of his own work. He currently works for Saint John's weekly newspaper, "Here", as well as "The King's County Record". |
